I believe promotional items do work as they’ve been used for years. I think their effectiveness does boil down to the gift recipient and the actual product you choose. I guess promotional advertsing is just one method though but it does offer a kind of tangibility that others types of marketing cannot offer.

I totally agree, many people buy landyards and key rings for their event on, for example, a computer expo and then feel frustrated and annoyed that their promotional items haven’t been worth it - this is soley due to the fact that they have been badly chosen. A far better product for a computer show for example would be a USB stick or USB toy. Great post, keep up the good work.
