Business Meetings: Be Prepared With Promotional Items
If you’ve ever found yourself in the ideal situation to promote your business, but didn’t have a business card or anything with your company details on to hand, how did you feel? Embarrassed? Inadequate?
Be prepared with a ‘business kit’. Keeping a simple set of items in your briefcase so you’re ready for every meeting will make you appear professional and well-organised in front of your business associates. A business card and brochure are obvious contents, but go a step further and include some carefully selected promotional items and you’ll stand out in the crowd, leave a lasting impression and get the chance to send your branding out into your contact’s office.
Here are some promotional items that would benefit your business kit:
Branded pens – keep two or three in your kit. Use one to take notes during your meeting, and leave one or two with your contact to take back to their office, along with your logo!
Branded notebook – take notes on logo-marked paper and keep your corporate identity in front of your contact throughout the meeting.
Personalised calculator – a really handy promotional item. If your meeting involves making calculations, use a machine printed or engraved with your company logo.
Branded sweets – talking can be thirsty work. A thirst-quenching packet of sweets, printed with your company logo, could prove very useful and much appreciated by your customer during your meeting.
Promotional conference folder – pack your kit into a quality leather folder embossed with your logo. You will look and feel organised and polished.
Gear yourself up for meetings by preparing a business kit. Fill it with a few cleverly chosen promotional items and make a real impression at your next appointment.

I like your idea. I think these are much more practical. I like your logo water-marked notebook idea. I think it is the best thing of all. If you write something and give it to your client or someone else he is going to see your logo when ever he read or looks on that paper.
Really great ideas.

I also have read a similar article like Daniel and I think that this one is much better.I think that pens are the most important items, since they are used non-stop.

I always keep at least three my company business kit with me. It helps me when I need to do urgent meeting or express appointments with the clients. It really impressed my client because everything is ready. Thus, it will give a good impression to your company.

Promotional material is essential for business meetings as people are more likely to remember you if they have something with your logo and business name on to take away with them - even if it is only your business card.
Keep it simple with small items like pens, erasers, or even small tins of peppermints and leave them on the tables so that the people you don’t get a chance to speak to personally can take some if they want to.

Providing items that the members of the meeting will need anyway is a fabulous idea for a promotional item. In fact, if you get the recipient to use what you’re giving away right off, the the chances of a positive impression and continued use is greater.
Pens, stationery, folders, etc are good examples of what to use. Shelly has a good point of keeping it simple.

It is wonderful article with a lot to observe. In this article, the author has given a wonderful list of products to be used in the kit. While reading that I got a query in my mind. Is this type of business promotion worth the amount we spend on this?

Wow! Another word, equip all our staff with meeting kit and ask them to go out and do sales. This is great idea. I wonder if my previous company would apply this technique in their sales and marketing team. Surely, they would see some green results by now. Not all companies applying this technique. Big MNC companies should try it out too.
